Aqif Akhtar

Full-stack PHP & WordPress developer · Lahore, Pakistan

I'm the developer behind kables.store. I build e-commerce stores, marketplaces and business web applications with Laravel, WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify. I built every tool on this site and wrote every article on the blog, mostly about problems I run into in my own client work.

Experience

Junior Software Engineer, Fidigy

Fidigy is a Sweden-based company. My work there includes:

  • Libro Accounts, a complete accounting system in Laravel with product, customer and supplier management, a full ledger and real-time reporting.
  • Building and maintaining more than eight WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify stores for clients in digital products, retail, events and services.
  • Integrating Stripe and other payment gateways into WordPress marketplaces.
  • A ticketing platform for the African Game Time Summit, built with WordPress and custom PHP.
  • Improving SEO, mobile responsiveness and site performance across client projects.

Web Developer, Hashtag, Faisalabad

Built web modules in Core PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap for client projects in a software house team.

System Engineer, Ex Touchstone Communication, Islamabad

Supervised software testing for company software: coordinating QA tasks, reporting bugs and checking that releases met quality standards. That testing background still shapes how I build tools today.

How I write these guides

Every article on kables.store is based on the tools on this site and the work I do as a developer. When I give a number, such as a compression setting or an image size, it comes from the tool's actual code, official documentation or my own testing. If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, please tell me and I'll correct it.
